Hey all, sorry if this was NZR, but I needed to go somewhere to vent, I figure I could vent to all of my friends. Yeah, the economy is in a slump and it's a recession, but come on. I work for SBC/Pacbell and I install POTS lines and broadband services for homes and business. It was a good paying job. Now, they are laying off a ton of people and closing down field operating centers. This is the phone company for goodness sakes. Now, customer service is going to be shoddy at best. Our area alone cut down almost 65% of the work force and it's gonna get worse. They offered us a severance package which is better than most, but I would rather have a job than the severance package. With the money, I could turn my TT into a rocket, but with the way the economy has been and all of the dot bombs going out of business, I guess I will just sit tight and see what happens. I'll be going back to finish school and day trade with my little settlement. Oh well, at least I have the Famoso drags to look forward to in December. Great holiday present courtesy of your phone company. I wish they would have waited until after the holidays. Sorry for the ranting, I just needed a shoulder to cry on. Thanks all, you guys and gals are great.
